Below you can read my days thoughts on running. Some days Iwill write about my day on the road. Some days I will write about thoughts on training, racing, efficiency, marathons, or whatever crosses my mind while I am on the road. Perhaps you will laugh. Perhaps you will be inspired. On occasion you may even be saddened. I post these thoughts just to keep the thought of today's run fresh... If anything below inspires you, drop me a line and let me know. comments@courseperformance.com

What a beautiful Memorial Day we had here in the Northeast. I ran the New Haven Road Race (20k). The weather was beautiful, and my time showed it. I focused on maintaining a constant power output, and I took 7 seconds of my half marathon pace. That is a minute and half off my half marathon PR. I also had enough left at the end of the race to fend off a signifcant attack. Historically, I have fallen apart at the end of a race, and been passed by many competitors. This time, I was able to close in on (although I didn't pass them) the next two runners in front of me. Race strategy is very important!
