Below you can read my days thoughts on running. Some days I will write about my day on the road. Some days I will write about thoughts on training, racing, efficiency, marathons, or whatever crosses my mind while I am on the road. Perhaps you will laugh. Perhaps you will be inspired. On occasion you may even be saddened. I post these thoughts just to keep the thought of today's run fresh... If anything below inspires you, drop me a line and let me know. comments@courseperformance.com

Wow! What a day! Not only did I shatter my previous marathon PR, but I did it in Boston! Not only did I shatter my marathon PR in Boston, but I did it by using Course Performance technology. For those experienced marathoners out there, you know how difficult it is to have the confidence to take 3 minutes off your PR on a course like Boston. It was through Course Performance that I was able to have to confidence to make the attempt, and achieve it. Take a look below and see how I was able to follow my plan. I was a minute and a half slower than predicted. You can also see that I got a little over zealous miles 6 - 13, and then how I paid for from 23 on. Nonetheless, this is a major accomplishement in my running career.

I have gotten run a Course Performance race plan for myself for the Boston Marathon on Monday. My goal was 2:50. My plan shows that is just achievable. This will be a good test for Course Performance. I have recorded my plan here several days before the marathon. I will report my actuals after the race. Wish me luck!

Well I am just about ready for Boston. I got in one last efficiency test, and it really confirmed that I was over trained for a while back in Feb. I got my Stride Effort back down into the region that I am comfortable with, and my Aerobic Effort is still pretty good. I also have had a few good long runs in the last 3 weeks. The weather report so far looks GREAT!!! This could be a PR day for me....
