Below you can read my days thoughts on running. Some days I will write about my day on the road. Some days I will write about thoughts on training, racing, efficiency, marathons, or whatever crosses my mind while I am on the road. Perhaps you will laugh. Perhaps you will be inspired. On occasion you may even be saddened. I post these thoughts just to keep the thought of today's run fresh... If anything below inspires you, drop me a line and let me know. comments@courseperformance.com

I have had the opportunity to run around home on the real hills lately. It is nice, and good training. I need to keep these hills coming.

Well I have learned another valuable lesson about my abilities. I ran a trail race a week ago or so. I thought I was going to be able to run this race the same way I would run a hilly road race. I train in a very hilly area, so I wasn't concerned with the hills. That was my first mistake... My second mistake was thinking that I could run this race with my training shoes. I rolled my ankle pretty hard in the first mile, then two more times over the course of the race. I finished, but by the end of the day, the ankle was quite sore. After taking a couple of days off I am back, but I can still feel it.
